The Road Less Traveled

There are so many options in life, so many choices, so many different ideas of the way we’re supposed to live, how much fun we should be having, the places we should be seeing, what we should have done, what we shouldn’t have done…Our society is filled with too much worldliness staring at us, provoking us into temptations of the world. So many seemingly 'innocent' choices can doom our world almost instantly. Our little bubbles of safety can pop with a wrong turn, a turn that we made- choosing to not follow God's road... The Road Less Traveled.  I don’t know about you—but I am exhausted. I think ‘choices’ are great. However, I think commitments are greater. It’s not all peaches and cream though- it’s definitely been a roller coaster of emotions with merging two separate lives into one unit. The statement- ‘You never really know someone until you live with them’, has never rung truer. In the past three months, through the highs and lows, I’m excited to say I’ve learned A LOT about my personality. Unfortunately- not all of it is good. But I’m learning nonetheless and The Lord is continuously revealing to me the woman He created me to be. He’s peeling back the layers of selfishness, self-pity, jealousy, pride, and so on. At times, I can become so overwhelmed with all of the things I need to grow in, that I become bitter. This is a scary road to go down. It’s at those times when I’ve learned that I need ...
